999111 was launched in 2016 using WhatsApp as a platform to help connect Locum GPs with Practices for free. It was started by myself at a time when I was transitioning from being a GP Partner to a Locum GP.

Over time the network has grown to several thousand members and practices.

Several Facebook groups were also started along the way to help connect colleagues with one another as well as experts who could help in both their professional and personal lives.

I value the support everyone has given in spreading the word about this service. This has helped to keep the costs to a minimum. The aim is to raise some funds from sponsors to cover costs in the future.
